Beef Tacos
Savor classic beef tacos with seasoned ground beef, fresh lettuce, and ripe tomatoes, all wrapped in soft tortillas. A quick and satisfying meal for any day of the week.
Steps
1
Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the ground beef and chopped onion, breaking the beef apart with a spoon. Cook for 8-10 minutes, until the beef is browned and the onion is softened. Drain any excess fat.
2
Stir in the minced garlic and tomato paste into the browned beef and onion mixture. Cook for another 2-3 minutes, stirring frequently, until fragrant.
3
Add the taco seasoning and a splash of water (about 60ml) to the skillet. Stir well to combine, then reduce heat to low and simmer for 5 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld.
4
While the beef simmers, warm the wheat tortillas according to package instructions, either in a microwave or dry skillet. This usually takes about 1-2 minutes per tortilla or batch.
5
Wash and chop the romaine lettuce and dice the tomatoes into small pieces, preparing them as fresh toppings.
6
Serve the seasoned beef in the warm tortillas, topped with fresh romaine lettuce and diced tomatoes. Enjoy your homemade beef tacos!
