Crispy Garlic Baguette from the Grill and Mixed Green Salad

Finely chop the garlic and fresh parsley. In a small bowl, combine the softened butter with the chopped garlic, parsley, half of the salt, and half of the black pepper. Mix well until everything is incorporated.

Slice the baguette horizontally, but not all the way through, creating thick slices. Spread the garlic butter generously between the slices and on top of the baguette.

Preheat your grill to medium heat. Place the buttered baguette directly on the grill grates or in a grill basket. Grill for 5-7 minutes, turning occasionally, until golden brown and crispy.

While the baguette is grilling, prepare the salad. In a large bowl, whisk together the olive oil, white wine vinegar, the remaining salt, and black pepper to make a simple vinaigrette. Add the mixed green salad and toss gently to coat.
